In Vain

This series explores the complex relationship between memory, loss, grief, and the distorted perception of time during the transition from adolescence to adulthood. The photographs confront the difficulty of articulating internal states that live beyond language. There is a constant awareness of mortality, where beauty and fear coexist. It is about the struggle to feel “correctly” when your internal rhythm is out of sync with the world. What remains after something has been lost but not yet accepted?  It invites others who recognize this feeling to ask the same question: Was it all in vain?
